Privacy notice
Your experience deserves care. So does your information.
This notice explains what The Adaptive Curve collects through the free assessment, why it is collected, how long it is kept and the choices you have.
Effective 13 August 2026
The short version
Your individual response is not an employer report.
- Your personal result appears immediately.
- Demographic questions and marketing emails are optional.
- We do not ask for your employer's name.
- Identifiable assessment records are kept for no longer than 24 months.
- Employers receive only de-identified, aggregated insights—not individual responses.
01
Who is responsible
The Adaptive Curve™ operates this assessment and is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
02
What we collect
Depending on what you choose to provide, the assessment may collect:
- your answers, calculated scores, result profile and first name;
- optional age range, gender, caring responsibilities and work context;
- your email address only when you opt in to updates and future offers; and
- limited technical and security information processed by our hosting providers to operate and protect the service.
We do not ask for your employer's name, street address, date of birth or payment information in this free assessment.
03
Why we use it
- to generate and display your personal result;
- to understand de-identified patterns and improve the assessment;
- to develop research, resources and future workplace insights;
- to send prompts, research and offers only if you separately opt in; and
- to maintain security, prevent misuse and administer the service.
Research consent and marketing consent are separate. Choosing not to receive emails does not change your result.
04
Employers and other disclosures
We do not give an employer your name, email, scores, answers or individual result. Workplace findings are produced only from de-identified, aggregated responses, with small groups combined or withheld where someone could reasonably be recognised.
We may use trusted technology providers to host, secure and operate the assessment. We may also disclose information where required by Australian law. We do not sell or rent participant contact details.
05
How long we keep it
Records that contain your name or other potentially identifying details are securely deleted or de-identified within 24 months of completion, unless an earlier request applies or the law requires longer retention.
If you opt in, your contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or for no more than 24 months after your last meaningful interaction, whichever occurs first.
Statistics and findings that no longer identify, or could reasonably identify, an individual may be retained to compare patterns over time.
06
Storage and security
Assessment information is held using access-controlled hosting and database services. Access to identifiable responses is restricted to the authorised owner dashboard. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, although no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Technology providers may process information outside Australia as part of their global infrastructure. Provider locations and processing arrangements can change over time.
07
Your choices and requests
You can ask to access, correct or delete your identifiable assessment information, withdraw from future research use, unsubscribe from marketing, or raise a privacy concern. A dedicated privacy contact address will be added to this notice when it is available.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain if a request cannot be completed. If a concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
08
Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated when the assessment, data practices or legal requirements materially change. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
